ashley stares at her fingers
she takes a pair of scissors
ashley laughs incoherently
she sniggers at herself
she picks up the sharp blade by her side
she slumps back in the rocky old chair
she rocks the chair slowly, together with the slow, haunty song
ashley listens to the requiem mass as she slowly slowly.. fades away with the music
her eyes, resigned to fate, stares into the blankness of the night
she is a living dead zombie
